terrys@molatorecpa.comTerrence Scroggin (Terry) is the Managing Partner for Molatore, Scroggin, Peterson and Company, originally starting with the firm in 1982. In the early 2000s, he had a vision for the accounting firm to offer investment advice as a natural extension of the work already being done by the firm.
He had seen many clients’ investment statements that didn’t necessarily line up with what was best for their particular tax situation. Along with the other firm owners, Terry aligned the accounting firm with the investment broker/dealer 1st Global Capital Corp, a company that specializes in bringing the investment world to accounting firms. In April 2020, Terry took the firm in a new direction and MSP became an Independent Registered Investment Advisory Firm to be able to serve its clients even more fully.
Terry holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Economics from the University of Oregon and did postgraduate studies in accounting at Southern Oregon State College in Ashland Oregon. He also holds series 7, 66, and insurance licenses with Oregon, California, Arizona, and Iowa. In his free time he can be found at Autzen Stadium, cheering on his Ducks and spending time with his 10 grandchildren, whom often accompany him to the games.
